Announcements
- [05/21/07 23:24 PM] 0.97 beta has now been released. Please refer to the postings on the Beta Testing Google Group for the details on the changes.
- [05/08/07 14:53 PM] A research paper outlining the details a visual programming tool tentatively name WIPER has been posted. Slim will be presenting at the HCII 2007 conference in Beijing. The presentation is on the 27th during the 1:30PM - 3:30PM session on HCI Patterns.
- [03/20/07 01:31 AM] Hi everyone! 0.96 release is now the official release going through beta testing. 0.95 has been deprecated as of this moment. As previously announced on the Beta Testing Group, 0.96 is backward-incompatible with 0.95.
- [01/17/07 00:27 AM] Just thought it would be a good idea to add some introduction to the page. Cuz you know... it might help to give visitors an idea of what in the world the project is about. ;)
- [01/14/07 21:32 PM] Two technical demos are now up to show how HTML authors with no Javascript knowledge can quickly prototype Web mash up. The demo uses a text editor to assemble pre-pacakged Javascript components and makes exclusive use of publicly available Web services.
What's the point?
Remember back in the mid 90s when we could tinker with the Web by just copying and pasting a bunch of HTML? You know how with Web Services and Javascript we can do a lot more cool stuff on the Web these days? Except, it's no longer as simple as just copying and pasting HTML? Why can't we do all these cool next-gen Web stuff while maintaining the tinkerer's culture of the original Web? We believe this can be done.
